The Cyberday team has had an eventful autumn!
Our autumn included obtaining ISO 9001 certification (the ISO 9001 standard is now also available in Cyberday), updating the name of the organisation to Cyberday Inc, becoming a strategic partner of Cyber Security Nordic in October, and growing with five new team members during the autumn.
Cyberday platform has also undergone a lot of development during the autumn: we have recently introduced, among other things, vendor security assessments, five new language versions, many minor enhancements and a development ideas forum. In addition, Cyberday's framework library has grown at an accelerating pace, with new additions including the local NIS2 laws and TISAX

In the midst of all this, we realised how our current office space was becoming cramped. Take a look at the Cyberday team's everyday life, and welcome to our journey towards our move!
Recognising the need for change
How can you identify the need for larger office space? Is it when you can't get your own jacket out of the coat rack without dropping some of your colleagues' at the same time? Perhaps the fact that half of the participants in joint meetings are content to stand? Or the "early bird catches the worm" tactic in the morning when it comes to preferred working spots? At least for us, these aspects were beginning to emerge, and it was becoming clear that a solution would be needed sooner or later. We needed a bigger space that could accommodate hybrid and remote working, our diverse meeting needs, as well as joint gatherings for the whole team. In the end, the pace of change was faster than perhaps we could have imagined.
The Agendium Ltd Finnish office has been located for years in the heart of Tampere in Technopolis, and the decision to stay on the same campus was clear. At this moment there was no rush for a new office, but we received offers from Technopolis almost immediately for two different offices, which we were also able to visit quickly. Our new office was quickly chosen as the favourite, the decision to move was made and the design work for the new office began.
The space that would become our office was ideal in size, but a small makeover was in order. We needed to find the hidden potential in the new space, and who better to know the needs and desires of the office than our own team! So let the planning begin.
Planning the Cyberday office
Our previous office lived in pure growth; space was improved piece by piece, and new desks were added as staff grew. But now we had the opportunity to create an office that was just right for our team, where comfort and functionality meet.
But the question was: what makes our office ideal? Is it the ergonomic chairs that protect our backs from the worst pains? Open, co-working spaces where creativity flourishes? Or perhaps cosy nooks that are perfect for deep concentration?
At the beginning of September, an open workshop for the whole team was held under the guidance of Marika from Luovisio. As the Cyberday team has been growing at a good pace, the workshop also served as a small team exercise. In the morning, the whole team participated in the brainstorming session in groups, and in the afternoon, the most enthusiastic ones could continue to be inspired. Needs and wishes, dreams and observations were discussed together. At the same time the new office needed common space and privacy, as well as better storage solutions. The space had to be functional, even if the whole team was meeting in the office at the same time. There was also a need for comfort, colours and a little greenery. The imagination also ran wild, with dog hotels, hot tubs and golf courses popping up. With Marika's help, the new office began to form a functional entity, combining both unity and functionality, with every square meter utilised.
Among the wishes and needs, the aspect of physical information security, which is also covered by the ISO 27001 requirements framework, must of course be taken into account. We will talk more about physical security and what needs to be considered in another blog post. Important points to consider, especially when considering office space, are among others:
- Access management- How to maintain and monitor secure access to the office? How are access permits distributed, and what is the office visitor policy?
- Clean desk policy - Ensuring that nothing sensitive is left on desks and that computers are locked or shut down when not in use.
- Secure storage solutions - The office space needs to have lockable cabinets for storing more sensitive data and equipment. Paper and equipment must also be disposed of securely, for example with a paper shredder.
- Equipment security - Ensuring that equipment is functional, maintained and stored securely.
Wow! 60% of the new furniture in our office is recycled and the estimated saving in carbon footprint is about 1166 kg CO2eq.
After the workshop, the "waiting period" began as the refurbishment of the new office started and furniture was being ordered. During this waiting period, five new team members joined the team and inevitably our old office started to feel more and more cramped every day.
New office, same service and team behind the work
We were able to move into our new office in early November as planned, so the new office is already starting to feel familiar. The space has a new buzz, and the new office has allowed us to develop our working methods, both independently and as part of a team. 🏢
As 2024 draws to a close, we are delighted to share with you the growth story of our team and the work behind Cyberday. Our team will continue to work hard on developing Cyberday and on all your questions and wishes - and with the new office space (maybe) even a little bit better! 🧑💻
2025 will soon be here, and we can't wait to surpass ourselves! A warm thank you for this year to our customers, our partners and our very own team. ⭐️
